ubereglu
Well, as some of you know I have a largish run that my chickens live in. Recently they have been escape artists and bounding out of it every so often and gobbling up the grass. As they keep doing this; even though we kept trying to secure it more; I have now decided that they are going to have to stay in the eglu run with the convertor on. I have a washing up bowl which I can make into a dustbath. Also today they have also jumped into the fenced off bit of the garden where the grass is recovering and dug out one of the planters, so in order for the garden to recover I think that this is the best option. Martin B
Mine aren't allowed out in the bad weather, and I am looking to buy a converter so I don't feel sorry for them!
The Dogmother
That's a shame Liz, but I bet your dad isn't too happy
ubereglu
No, he just laughs at them! Mind you the garden's not in as bad a state as it was this time last year. Later in the week I'll sort out the convertor, as I think we made need to swap around some paving slabs.
ubereglu
Well instead of putting the convertor on the run we now have made a little fence on the other side of the eglu run slightly away from it. This means they can no longer get out. They looked completely mystified this evening when they went into their run!
