Anyone got a bath in their bedroom?

Recommended Posts

I was digging about in our airing cupboard in the new house to find a leaky pipe and discovered an entire hot water tank boxed into the wall. Some people. sigh. We're probably going to rip it out when we remodel the bathroom and pop a shower cubicle there instead.

I took out the chimney breast in my bathroom, and put the bath where it was :roll: I suppose if I had left the chimney I would've had a great extractor system (and a good view of stars at night) :lol:

:lol::lol:

I was digging around in the airing cupboard shortly after moving in, and found the cast iron fireplace behind some wood cladding - took it out as the chimney stack had been removed and installed in Rosie's room, where the fireplace had been removed.

Wow :mrgreen:

Lucky Rosie to now have an original fireplace in her room too!

Oooo I think it sounds rather swish & 8) if you have the room! I'd be tempted, but I'd like to keep the open fire & make bathtime really luxurious. Just imagine it - I'm quite envious Pengy.

May I also say I noticed you mentioned your new OH - I think I've missed something somewhere? :anxious: But hey....good on you girl! :clap:

Fireplace in bathroom, fireplace in bedroom, but bath in bedroom, not really for me. Even with an extractor fan, I would think there would be a certain amount of moisture. I would be worried the bedding might get damp. I did once stay in a hotel where the whole bathroom was in the bedroom - really, really not my scene :lol:

I think we will do it - no need for a shower attachment the bathroom has a great shower cubicle - but a lousy shower that we are replacing. It also has a large bath which will stay there. So this will kinda be my private bath - I'm a relaxer and soaker - even with my stupidly busy mornings I manage to get 15 mins in the bath with my ebook in its waterproof pouch. I used to get 25 mins but I seem to have sacrificed some time to make breakfast and lunch for "him". Mind you he does have to have his 3" deep bath whilst I do that..

I've been busy falling crazily mad in love for the past couple of months. Been a bit of a whirlwind but he has moved in, although we haven't done anything about renting his house out yet. We met through an online dating site and are scarily compatible - although he is trying to read this over my shoulder as opposed to playing games on facebook on his own laptop...

Also work has banned forums and finally worked out that this is one - for a while I could access the nesting box but nothing else.
