Well I have made 9 individual steak and kidney pies, 5 individual steak, mushroom and ale pies and they are in the freezer. I have made my pastry for my lemon meringue pie and pecan pie (I am making both) for tonight which is resting in the fridge.

I now have a mountain of dishes to do, but have having 5 minutes with a cup of coffee first.

Then its start the bread, marinade the chicken, prepare veg and if I have time, start making some pasties and possibly some soup. I have some frozen peas and some fresh mint, so may make some minted pea soup for the freezer (as that is one of Phils favourites).

I am considering a bank holiday weekend strike though

Tomorrow is my big run clean, ready for my hen party on Sunday :P

I think so :anxious:

I'm hoping that he would have talked this through with his work colleagues today, and they would have put him straight.

Decided not to make lemon meringue now, as there was enough pecan filling for both pastry cases, so I am making 2 pecan pies instead.

Need to make the raspberry sauce to go with the cheesecake now

Potato wedges are chopped, jerusalem artichokes are prepared and the chicken is marinading.

I still need to give my living room a quick tidy, extend and set the dining table, finish making the bread, make my salad dressing and put some wine into chill but I am getting there. They are due to arrive at 7pm so I should have plenty of time to do everything

Cheesecake  Danny has recently discovered cheesecake, and would probably eat a whole one to himself. He doesn't like cream, so it's a good alternative to gateaux or trifle for him.

Well the Easter hols are upon us, the rain managed to hold off for the Easter Bonnet parade, but we managed to miss the letting go of the balloons for the balloon race. They said 2:30pm, so me and mum went for 2:30pm, they let the balloons go bang on half past  Nevermind.

I know i have already asked some of you but need more help deciding

At the moment i have 6 girls in my largest WIR which is approx 15 feet x 12 feet. They sleep/lay in a plastic dog kennel which is on a platform.

I have a smaller WIR approx 8 feet x 9 feet for the bantams ( 7 in total), two are in a rabbit hutch with run within the WIR for intro purposes at present. The rest are in an eglu.

I then have 3 LF in an eglu with converter added. I want these 3 in large WIR and am also wanting a couple of Orps later in year.

Do i

a) get the bantams alternative housing and use the eglu in the large wir. Keeping other eglu spare for intros etc. Can't afford another eglu at the moment unfortunatly but have found these i like

b) Get another plastic or wooden dog kennel for the large WIR.

c) Sell an eglu and save for a cube, but then i won't have a spare.

d) something else?! Anyone seen anything good around the £100 mark?

I like the wine barrels 8)

I was looking at them a while back and it was just the barrel and you had to 'convert' it yourself, and they were about twice that

I can't decide, do you have to have a spare eglu, or could you use that?

Oh ye it could be

Best way would be to get a plastic tray to fit it, but would be a stupid size to find

CnN have given us an !egg!:D Its light pinky so think it might be Cillas?

They were both sitting on it this afternoon then they came out for a FR and a look in the WIR, have left it there to see if they were just having a go or if actually broody :anxious::whistle:

They could hatch a couple of the eggs instead of the incy doing it, but would probably have to separate them ... and so have 2 lone hens - don't know if its a good idea?
