Just wondering how other people set and turn their eggs

- I know different incys set and turn them in different ways ...

 

Pointy end down, and then turn by tilting them at an angle, or by turning them upside down (so pointy end up)

... or some set them lying down and roll them over side to side.

 

 

Trying to decide wether to set mine lying on their sides and roll them over, or in egg boxes pointy end up and just tilt the egg boxes or turn the eggs upside down

I lay my eggs on their side and mark them with an x and an o so I know how far to turn them. It works really well with my cramped incubator seeing as I wouldnt have been able to fit two egg boxes in it:D

The suro does it all for me but they are bottoms up and tilted from side to side.

 

The egg box idea is

I lay them on their sides. They would be in this position under a broody.

I put them pointy end down in my new inccy or on their sides in a polybox

 

Both are fine

 

Those plastic egg trays are good to use in incubators

Still undecided which is best

I know the plastic trays you mean Tasha, but we just have normal fibre boxes

 

Might have a go at bottoms up in egg boxes because easier + quicker to turn, but will see if anyone is in school this week to borrow their auto incy
