ewoodpugz
Hi Folks I've got the little tub of Flubenvet for my three ex batts. They all eat out of several containers and a grub and also roam around free ranging most of the time. I can't see how I can accurately know if they have all individually had the right amount of Flubenvet in the right amount of food. Seems impossible! Help! chick wiggle
I found the easiest way to do it is to mix it in their food. Its a tiny amount of flubenvet so make sure you mix it well. Then each girl will get the right dosage for their weight. mix enough for the week and if theres any leftover discard it. Try not to give too many treats if any during this time, they need to just eat their pellets with the flubenvet in it.
Chucky Mama
Don't worry too much about each chicken getting the right amount. It is designed so be fed over 7 days and larger heavier birds will eat more and therefore will take a higher dose. Strictly speaking you should feed with the exclusion to all other food for that time which means shutting free rangers in - I admit to not doing this and I know that lots don't but I do cut out all treats. Sarahsausage
I usually mix the dosage for my 3 with some chopped up grapes, they soon gobble them up and as Chucky Mama says it doesn't matter if they don't get the right dosage each time as it's administered over 7 days
shoura
I found it easiest to keep them in their WIR for 7 days without any free-ranging, and no treats. They just ate pellets with flubenvet for 7 days. At least I'm sure they got all they needed to!
