shelley8179
I have just got 2 new girls to go with my other 2 girls. The 2 new girls are 15 weeks and 14 weeks so should they be on growers pellets? and my original girls are on layers pellets, when they all end up in the can the new girls go on layers pellets or is it too early? also I have a big bag of chick crumbs is it ok to feed the new girls with this or is it not good for them? Also I have been letting the girls out together to see how they get on together and apart from the odd peck they seem fine together, its funny that the girl I thought I would have no trouble from, as she is the quiet one is the one doing all the pecking, what is my next step on getting them all in the ? Egluntyne
They will b e fine on layers pellets from 16 weeks or thereabouts. A day or two either side won't harm.
Roobaloo
I bought two 16 week old girl last weekend and was advised to have them on Growers mash/pellets for a few weeks, then start shufting across to Layers....
Reikiranf
If you are left with the chick crumbs and have a cat, use the chick crumbs as cat litter! It clumps really well so makes emptying the litter tray easy and as it's a food I then flush the used stuff down the loo, much better than putting it into nappy sacks & sending to landfill like I used to do
