Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

How much should a two week old chick be eating in a day? My chooks are eating me out of house and home! Up until now I've given my two chicks a bowl of Sunring EMP 'mash' (sprinkled with a pinch of powdered garlic following ANH's suggestion that I should give it to them as it neutralises the smell of their poo). They also get two bowls of chick crumbs a day too, along with a few mealworms in the morning and the occasional treat, (crushed pumpin seeds, chopped raisins ect). Nowadays I'm having to refill the bowl much more often, and I've even started giving them two bowls of food between them at a time, instead of just one.

 

I know that they'll eat more as they grow bigger, but I didn't expect them to get so much bigger so quickly! Anyway, how much food should a two week old chook be getting?

Thats not out of the realms of normal

 

As you stay in your previous post they could be spilling a lot - little tykes!

 

Ideally they need a bigger non spill feeder thats filled once a day that they can eat ad lib and then the treats as and when
