What size mesh do I need for a WIR, I know from reading before that you recommend Hills of Devon

I've ordered 1" x 1" but personal choice I suppose it depends what you are trying to keep out. A mouse may get through that but 1/2" not but you may not see through as easily. I think most have 1x1.

1 x 1 19g or 16g

 

You can have 0.5 x 1 which will keep rodents out as Plum says

I've just ordered (yesterday) a walk in run from Chris at Bay Animal Housing (previously CMS) and chose the 1/2" x 1/2" option for the mesh, but now I'm not sure I've done the right thing. Do you think 1" x 1" would be better? Does anyone have the smaller sized mesh? How obstructive is it for chicken viewing? I'm thinking perhaps I should call Chris tomorrow and change my order!

It doesn't block the view, should be fine

I have 1/2 by 1/2 green coated weldmesh and can see the chooks fine too

 

The only reason we chose this size is cos it was a partial role being sold off cheap. Otherwise I think we would of had 1x1
