craftyhunnypie
Can you all pray for Button to have some Millefleur chicks please? It has been day 19 since Midday today. There is a lot of fidgeting from her & she keeps throwing bedding over her back. She's not pushed any of the 3 eggs out of the nest, so I presume they must be 'good ones'. Come on Button - I'm dying to see your foster chickies! Emma.x
Griffin
I'll keep my fingers crossed for Button if you will for Nelly, her 3 LF silver laced Wyandotte eggs are on day 19 too. I heard her talking to them last night and again this morning. She got off for a comfort break this morning but I didn't get a chance to look at the eggs because I was busy fixing her run. craftyhunnypie
This morning - when button got off for her fag break, there was a crack in one of the eggs & cheeping. A little chick was unzipping its way out. I presume it's hatched now, will look later! My long awaited Millefleur! Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Hi all. Sad news. I had come in from work & seen Button was off the nest eating. So looked in to find little chick hatched but with shell attatched and dead. I have sobbed my heart out. We had called it Magic. I know hatching has it's difficulties but I always cry when one dies - no matter what age. I'm praying for the others! I couldn't see any pipping - but couldn't look too close. Please pray for Button! R.I.P little Magic - such a short time in the big wide world..nature is cruel. Emma.x
Lewis
RIP Magic ... This is what I dread about using a broody - Nugget has tried if for a few days with pot eggs and been good, then when she realises the others are FR'ing, she'll toddle off with them! My uncle has had a broody for over a week + she's coming on holiday, so hope she's a good mom for Button + the
Falkor
Oh sad news Fingers crossed for the other little eggies,
craftyhunnypie
I feel so pants. I can't imagine how little Button must be feeling. She has been an excellent broody. My little frizzle sweetheart. It is day 20 from midday today, so there is still hope. Emma.x

craftyhunnypie
Meet Beanie!! Hatched today about 1pm. This cute little Millefleur baby! Adorable! Mother & baby are now in a new box - with a much lower front - so as Beanie can get food & water, whilst mummy sits on remaining ' pipped' egg. craftyhunnypie
I won't know until morning if the final one has hatched. All shut up for the night. Button was very busy underneath herself & clucky a bit ago. She now has her head tucked in in contentment - bless! I'm so proud of Button & Beanie! I hope the final one hatches & we can call it Bobbin. Well done Button! Emma.x
craftyhunnypie
Well the final one did hatch about mid night last night. We sat up in bed like a pair of saddo's watching the chick camera. Button started clucking loudly & shuffling. Then we saw her remove egg shell from under her. When hubby checked this morning - there was Beanie & the new arrival....Bobbin! So well done Button on you 2 beautiful Millefleur chicks! Anyone know what male & female millefleurs look like upon hatching? Think I may have one of each, as different to each other.
