I have a question for all I-phone owners.

 

Hubby has just got one and can't decide whether to get a rubber cover or one of the hard ones.

He has asked me to consult the Omlet oracle (as he put it!)

 

 

Has anybody got any recommendations?

What work? What ones are useless?

Etc.?

The one I have, and recommended to me by apple staff was the incase slider. It is a great case, feels soft but is very tough, I have dropped my ipod many times and it still works fine .

Obviously only covers the back, but that's the bit that gets loads of scratches, so works for me. You can also get a film type thing that goes on the screen, if you're worried about that. My Dad has a fake leather 'pouch' type affair, where the front cover flips over. Protects it well but I wouldn't want it in my pocket!

 

I had a rubber one before, and it was rubbish - it attracted dirt, which stuck to it. It also let lots of fluff and dust in round the edges, and the added friction also made it difficult to get out of my pocket in a hurry!

Hi Janty, I got one of these

Its gorgeous and pink and very sparkley, not very macho for OH Im afraid but you can get other colours too. I picked it up from a stall in a shopping centre for £8.00 and got a screen cover thrown in. Ive had it on over a year now and my phone is still as new. Although seeing those 10 covers ! on ebay, well, what a bargain, a different colour for everyday!

Janty I have a Belkin rubberised cover for the back and sides, and a clear screen protector. The number of times this phone has fallen off the table/sofa and survived intact is untrue!

I have the same one as Fred and it's great. Much better than the softer rubbery one I had previously because it split. Sadly, I also have it in deep, manly black and really hanker after something a bit more fabulous!

Was just going to say save your money - a plastic film for the front is really all you need - have had my i-phone for ages with no cover, few tiny scratches but it's well made and doesn't damage easily.

 

BUT then I saw these and now am busy deciding which fabulous sparkly cover I want
