cluckingmad
Oh my! We found that the best way to make sure our chicken Daddy didn't try and re-home us was to make sure our knickers were extra fluffy and we'd all had a good preen just before he came home (Mummy and Daddy usually have a cup of tea in the garden after work for a bit of peace and quiet), then as soon as we saw him we all ran as fast as we could straight to the gate and bokked enthusiastically till he came to see us then we all just battered our eyes and looked lovingly at him.. Any talk of rehoming was soon forgotten If fact, it was only a few months later that Mummy brought Flo, Etty and Suzy home as well, so he MUST love us now if he's let Mummy have some more girls* *Mummy would like to add that Daddy was, in fact, absolutely livid that she's 'aqcuired' three more girls, however was rapidly won over by them clucking around after him in the garden, lovely, soft hearted man that he is Oh, and a chocolate cake made with their eggs also helped! dannablue
Our Mummy always shuts our door but we dont mind as she doesnt lie in anyway and most days we are playing out by 7am. She did however sleep in the other morning and we didnt get out until 7.40am - there was much boc tutting that morning I can tell you!!! We are super good and only make noise when we hear Mummy in the kitchen then we just get over excited because we know we are about to play out . It pays to be good at our house though as we get a treat from Mummy each morning...she often puts that boc-cashy bran stuff mixed with some tommy tartoes in our treat tub...yum!!!!!!!!!! Hurray for all our Mummy's

dannablue
You have a treat- tub !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!We have never seen one of those - what does it look like ? Mind you, we think Evie might have something similar in the hotel. Our treat tub is brill. It is ust a black square box. It says cornish ice cream on it but I dont remember having any cream of any sorts...must have a word with Mum about that!! I would have remembered wouldnt I I would have needed a beak wash after cream....why is she holding back treats from us? Naughty Mum, we lay her eggs all the time and do lots of poos for her compost and we are not getting all the treats we should....next time she asks for an egg I might tell her If she doesnt hand the treats over I might have to start that singing thing
Lavenders_Blue
You don't get cream either?! Neither do we. Our treat tub says 'double cream' on it. We don't remember getting cream even once, let alone twice. We must make a complaint about this. Yesterday daddy came out with the 'double cream' tub and out jumped a large spider! We could hear mummy squealing inside - we think she was trying to sing like us, but we definitely sound better. The spider wasn't quite what we were expecting but it was still tasty and I think we all got a leg each. It definitely would have been better with a dash of cream though...
