Luvachicken
On Friday night our chicken mummy decided to leave our bedroom door open so we could wake up when we wanted and she could have a lie in. As the local birds were singing so loudly, we decided to join in and sing even louder than they were and to see if Evie could hear us from indoors where she has been trying to get better. Evie didn't hear us but our chicken mummy did - it was only 5.20 am She was a bit worried in case there was something scary about and came to see us - all was fine. Then at 6am we thought we would sing again and again chicken mummy came running and she brought some corn . At 6.45 we had one last sing but chicken mummy gave us nothing she just looked at us.....so we stayed quiet. At bedtime chicken mummy said that we were naughty girls and wouldn't have our door left open ever again

The nayburs have dubble glazes windoes so they can't hear us when we sing. Mummy wurrys that the nayburs are beeying polite. Artemis is the lowdest of us but Athene has the most impressive ranj, according to mummy. Athene can hit the hy notes. Artemis likes to pretend to be a trumpit. stoice
We did this on sunday morning at 5:15, our mummy came rushing out in her nightie and wellies telling us to be quiet but we could tell she really wanted us to sing louder as soon as she'd gone back to bed. So we did. For some reason she got upset when we helped her to distribute the newly opened tub of mealworms she'd left in the shed. Blanche sneaked in through our internal door and pushed the tub off the shelf onto the floor so the lid came off. We helped Blanche hide the evidence. Mummy was so pleased though, we could tell, as she popped out to see us all morning.
Roobaloo
We may have to try this as our door is always open...Mummy sleeps just up from our bedroom and nearly always has a window open!! I really like the sound of corn for breakfast! Love, Suki
Alis girls
We are nosiey when the police come round esp in the big bird which hovers above our garden (police helicopter) - then we "honk honk HONK HONK" and mum told us to shut up she also threatened a naughty man who came into the garden with the bread knife and when he said he was a policeman she waved to him - she is naughty - very flighty we think the word is. Otherwise shes lovely and only tuts when we dont lay - and dad has told us about the freezer in the garage - dont know why we think hes a bit ga-ga - keeps trying to pick us up. Squawk
we are having to compete with the noisy builders who are building an extension to the neighbours house ... you can only just hear us over the noise of the power saw! We are making up for it by being extra noisy when the builders have their lunch
Alis girls
We had to laugh the other day as Jez had done a curry pooo - very smelly and runny - tikka marsala we think and mummy's big son came out with no shoes on and she told him 3 times to put shoes on and he didnt and he stepped in the poo bok bok bok (sound of hystercal boking) mummy got cross and told him off and was heard muttering "bleep bleep men" - she then cleaned his foot with anti germ stuff and kitchen towel and did some more "bleeping" - sooo funny

cluckingmad
Mummy always lkeaves our doors open, even though we like to sing too Suzy may be the littlest but she's also the loudest and as soon as we see Daddy* turn the lights on in the Big House we sing for him so he'll know we're still here.. occasionally Molly will have a REALLY good singsong and Mummy and Daddy come running out in their jammies and wellies and look so funny that we all laugh at them... And when Daddy isn't looking Mummy tells us what gorgeous clever girls we are and throws us corn or mealworms We haven't quite trained Daddy to do this when Mummy isn't looking, he's obviously a slower learner... *we weren't allowed to call hum Daddy at first either, but then Mummy overheard him chatting to us in the garden and told him that as she was Mummy, HE was obviously Daddy
Luvachicken
We have been a bit better behaved with our door shut but we were only jealous because Evie has been in some 4 star hotel each night with yummy treats and we didn't get any
Margalot
We love to let Mummy know when we see a squirrel or cat at 5.30am we know she loves all creatures and would love to come into the garden and see them. Also we call mummy really loudly when a giant red cherry tomato decides to pass slowly over the house, it seems to have humans in some sort of basket dangling underneath? but no matter what we shout it never stops. Lorraine W
We had our mummy and daddy up at 4.30am this morning, Daddy came out to give us some corn ( mummy was hiding under the duvet) We think they are closing the door tonight to see if make less noise. Gelbel
We once dared to practice singing at 6:30 am but our Mummy went mad - but she was laughing too. We decided we will stay quiet til after 7 o'clock because we have heard what she has threatened to do to that wood pigeon that ALWAYS goes through the chords before 5 o'clock every day. Aren't we good? Mummy bounded out of bed and stood at the window yesterday at 5:30 - but she soon went back when she realised it was those naughty magpies.....all 7 of them. We must admit they do sound a bit like Madge asking to be let out into the garden to carry on digging to Australia.

Lavenders_Blue
We usually like to sing in the morning too but today we were good girls because it is chicken mummy's birthday and we thought she deserved a lie in. Then Bella had an idea for a really good present for mummy because we know how busy she is doing lots of things. So while she was out at work today we sneaked under the netting and helped with digging in the veg patch. We know she was pleased because when chicken daddy came home from work mummy said to him "You won't believe what those girls have done today!". We were so proud. Mummy chicken forgot to lock the door so we could still get out but we where good, we did not make any noise untill 6.20am. Looks like we are staying, we know Daddy Chicken was looking on this site about re-homing
