welovemarmite
we are planning on going to the domestic fowl trust on monday and hoping to pick up a couple more chickens. Now we have been there before and they did sell a lot in trios and pairs. Can i ask a dumb question? We only want hens and no cockerals. Do you reckon they would do that? I know I can ring and ask, but feel a little stupid that I should know the answer, so thought i would ask here first amongst friends!!! Christian
I know that many places sell pairs and trios, but if you only want hens, then I am sure they will sell you hens only. Many people cannot keep cockerels and I'm sure they understand that. Good luck hen hunting!
kerryegg
We went there a couple of weeks ago to buy a treadle feeder and there were all sorts of fowl for sale so I think you should be o.k. Had only a quick look around the shop part as the dog was with us but will definately try to get back sometime. Fantastic chicken statues on the way in. Have a nice time. welovemarmite
we are saved then.... now on the hunt for something else. Was going to have a couple more hybrids, but now thinking about wanting something a little different, so going down the pure bred line.... If anyone has any suggestions let me know (thats for places rather than the breed)

welovemarmite
i have been talking to the guy there and then found out how far away he was from us and so can't fit it in at the moment. The only reason we were going to domestic trust was because we were going to be out that way on monday anyway! I have three potential leads at the moment, so seeing if any come back to me.
