Sara
Hi, After reading through all the posts on not keeping eggs in the fridge, i have kept them all in an old egg box. I would really like something to put them in for it to look nice. Has anyone bought a egg basket/holder recently and know where i can find one? Thanks
Cinnamon
Hi, Try looking on eBay, I got a great one there & it was only 99p! Also, Amazon have some nice wooden ones in funky colours, & I am sure lakeland must have some too. Good Luck!
Alison M
Hi Sara, I have ordered an egg spiral product code 43397 from www.scottsofstow.co.uk (mail order).
SarahJo
Have shown this to OH, and anticipate an order, as we are going to re-do the kitchen, and I am not sure if our wall -holder will be allowed back up. Now this is a funky alternative ... Love it.
Lesley
Oh! Alison - Stow is just a 20 min drive and guess where I'm going tomorrow now If I come home with just an egg holder it will be a miracle Five shops all in the Square - Heaven!!! Even OH likes going there
AnnieP
Hi! Back after an awful virus whilst trying to find a differnet avatar! Had to completely blap the computer and rebuild it, despite having Norton Antivirus!! Anyway, this was under discussion last time I was online: I started the thread, but probably in the wrong place!! People came up with loads of egg holders adn references, so here's the link! http://club.omlet.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1488 I'm still waiting for my purchase to come....come on Amazon!! By the way, its good to be back...I'll be spending all day reading trying to catch up!!

Guest
Not sure what kind of thing you're looking for but I got a lovely chicken shaped black wire basket that will hold loads of eggs (well it would if they lasted that long!) from a cargo homeshop. Bit pricey but very pretty.
soufflé
P.s. I'm not a guest, I forgot to sign in - still getting to grips with this!
Lesley
Scotts of Stow send their catalogues out before the stock is in their shops We went this morning as OH was going fishing nearby and they didn't have any. They did have some nice egg-cups though - more egg-cups
Mel (& Paul)
A girl can never have too many egg cups or shoes or cushions or candles or chocolate
Mrs Frugal
A girl can never have too many shoes But they have to be totally impractical, strappy, high heeled and in several different shades. Loads of those in my wardrobe gathering dust but not a single pair of practical shoes to put on my feet for everyday !
Mel (& Paul)
I'm the same - each New Year I decide I will be more girly, buy some lovely girly shoes in the sale, wear them once and then go back to walking boots / trainers / slippers as appropriate

AnnieP
If its any consolation, my egg holder ordered from Amazon 3 weeks ago STILL hasn't arrived...dispatched today...apparently!
Cate in NZ
Good day for Amazon then. I oredered some books from them way back in July- finally got an email today to say they've been dispatched. Now do I spend the weekend reading, or on here I wonder Not sure about the egg cup debate. I'm not a boiled egg fan so we have a small and not terribly inspiring egg cup collection.... and luckily I have no great inclination to expand it. But who mentioned shoes If I have an addiction it's shoes- every style, height, colour, you name it I've either got it or want it. I love shoes Current faves are oyster satin with a "diamond" ankle strap & a zip up the back. Sooo sexy, love 'em
Diana1
Love the spiral egg holder from Stow. Might put that on my christmas list. Thing is that the eggs are so delicious that I can't imagine being able to collect twelve. I've just worked out that we've had 29 eggs in 20days. I've only given five away, there are three in the basket which means we have eaten 21 eggs in 20 days.
Lesley
Sorry Lesley. Don't worry Alison - we enjoyed the trip to Stow anyway and OH was going fishing nearby. Gloucestershire/Warwickshire borders is a beautiful area and we can check For Sale boards just in case! - and we will just have to go again when they phone me up!!! Lesley
Diana - that's pretty good going! We have to start storing eggs vertically now as we don't have enough room for horizontal egg holders! Star laid her first egg on Tuesday so at the moment we have all six chickens laying - I must be the only person waiting for chickens to moult and stop laying for a while! Popcorn
But who mentioned shoes If I have an addiction it's shoes- I love shoes Oh ME TOO !! I love love love them. My OH goes bonkers at me as I have nowhere to keep them all. And of course - you have to have a bag to match
Mrs Frugal
Well of course, Gina! It's just a shame I'm barefoot at the moment because I've got no sensible shoes to wear! About 15 pairs of totally unsuitable strappy, high heels in the wardrobe but nothing to go into town in !
Popcorn
Tell me about it Kate. I have nothing sensible to wear for my fishing/walking holiday in Ireland, so I have to go out this afternoon and buy something more suitable than open-toes high heeled sandles, or flat fancy sequined jobbies! I seem to spend my life in shops just recently!
Happymama
Matalan currently have a ceramic creamy/ecru 12 egg holder that looks like a egg tray, IYKWIM, (4x3) for £4 in their homewear department. Looks lovely in my kitchen. Especially full of a week's worth of eggs.
Mrs Frugal
You should see my lovely copper egg tray then. It holds 30 eggs and looks just like one of those cardboard ones they have on Farmers Markets but copper. Well, OK, so it's just a cardboard one sprayed with copper spray paint - I couldn't find any green !!
