Egluntyne
With no apologies for having read this in the Daily Mail ........ it looks as though the Beeb are going to ruin Strictly again. **Click**
Cinnamon
I know, its just ridiculous! Ian is brilliant & the main reason I watch the show (he has a lovely bum & a nice smile, plus he comes from Reading) Lillia is the ONLY reason the husband watches it. Get rid of that bloomin' Du Beke man instead - he is horrible
Griffin
Gutted, I don't want any of those dancers to go The BBC are wrecking the show by being unwilling to pay dancers, judges and celebrities what they're worth. I wouldn't be sorry to see Brucie leave though!
Lesley
As one of the attached comments says.......that will free up my Saturday nights nicely I was considering not watching it last time......I won't even bother starting to watch it this time around. The Dogmother
Even Rosie thinks that it has gone downhill, and she was a major fan of the series.
C&T
The BBC are wrecking the show by being unwilling to pay dancers, judges and celebrities what they're worth. Interesting point - but what are these people worth? In really harsh terms, what do they give to society to earn these huge amounts of money? I do think many "celeb's" are overpaid - Aleesha being paid £100k to sit there once a week for a few months and pass judgement when her only experience in this type of dance was having competed in the show previously? Thats more than many people earn over 4 yrs of 40 hr weeks! Brucies £660k? That is obscene! It's similar to the footballers - being paid so much the clubs are now struggling to make ends meet. I guess something has to give at some point? There is only so much money to go around!

Griffin
Brucies £660k? That is obscene! That's my point though, why should celebrities slog their guts out day in, day out for about four months for 35k when Brucie just makes a fool of himself for an hour or so once a week for four months for 660k? And the professional dancers get paid even less than the celebrities. Hardly fair is it? And why does Aleesha get paid more than the other judges? It's bizarre! I read that they wanted Sarah Ferguson to appear but she turned it down because she can earn more doing a few after dinner speeches. No contest is it? Whilst I agree celebrities are over-paid in general, why would they do Strictly if financially it's not worth their while? If the BBC really want to consider themselves serious rivals to X-factor then they've got to reach further into their pockets to get higher profile participants that people would turn over to watch. Seagazer
I will keep watching because I do like the show but I think they made a huge mistake in replacing Arlene with Aleisha, if they didn't want Arlene they should have given Karen Hardy the job as she's already a judge anway and a professional dancer and would know what she's talking about. Or if not how about Lillia as a judge? I can't believe they would get rid of Matthew and Ian but still keep Anton who, I believe, will never win the show as he's just not good enough at latin. I'm really sorry that Brian isn't going to be doing the show as when I saw the tour he was by far the most stand out dancer out of the males and when partnered with Kristina was just stunning. I do think that all celebs and footballers are grossly overpaid for what they do.
Cinnamon
I agree - Brian is an amazing dancer & really stands out, even on TV. I do hope that they are not going down the 'dolly-bird' route with the new girls & even skimpier costumes

Lavenders_Blue
Well I wouldn't be too sorry to see Brucie go... but otherwise the other changes sound terrible. I can't believe they would consider axeing Brian, Darren, Lilia, Matthew and Ian. Many people now watch Strictly as much to see how the professional dancers perform from year to year as their celeb partners. I'll definitely be tuning out if this goes ahead. Oh and Alesha on £100k? How do they justify that?
kfc
Agree with all! I love Brian Fortuna, I think he's an amazing dancer and gorgeous with it! (Have taken lots of stick for this over the last 2 years) Did anyone watch the American version of strictly too - Dancing with Stars - Nicole Scherzinger (sp?) was A-MAZ-ING! She could and should be professional. But back to the point... agreed don't mess with strictly! Although I confess I do love Brucie
