veggiemad
Morning everyone- I hope you've all eaten!! I was cleaning out my girls this morning(ridiculously early thanks to my 2 year old daghter waking m up at 5.30am!!) , one of my new ex batts (rescued from coventry on 30th may) poo-ed and had a big case of worms!!!!! Not sure which one it was as didnt see the hen quick enough, but had luckily got some flubenvet in , so have mixed it in with the feed as of today. Gutted though, as only moved the divide with the old girls 2 days ago, so am having to treat everyone now and not just the newbies. well at least they'll all be done! fingers crossed thats the last I see of them - yuck!! Just wanted to let any one else know that may've have hens from same rescue to watch out!!!
Chucky Mama
Not nice is it. They must have a hefty dose for it to be so obvious.
tara
I got 3 from there this weekend have not seen anything but will try and worm them anyway how have you wormed them as mine wont eat nothing else.
Chucky Mama
I would definately do them even though you haven't seen anything Tara. They can have a belly full without any evidence in poo. If they are very new and will be stressed so you can wait a week or so to let them settle before worming them. Obviously veggiemad needs to crack on with it now though
veggiemad
Tara, I have just mixed the recommended dose in with the food. Luckily mine have got the hang of the pellets now and finished all their mash, so its just pellets and flubenvet for 7 days- boring!!
