Mollie333
Pat, recently renamed by my sister.. Batman, is now disabled. We have no idea what's happend, but she is eating and drinking fine and now in the ''Maternity Ward'' with Effy (who's sat on four eggs).. She is acting herself, but not walking. She has been to the vets to check for broken bones, but there was no sign. Given her some antibiotics to put in the water but not working.. I get her out everyday and do a sort of physical exercise with her, moving and placing her legs in the correct position, then always give her a mealworm yoghurt and weetabix to strengthen her up. Batman is a 15wk old black Silkie bantam. she is a quiet bird who doesn't like any other birds, accept Effy. Cheryl the turkey sort of mothered her for the first days she was here, it was amazing. Hope she is back on her feet soon.

madchickenlady
Sorry to hear it. I had a gold partridge pekin, Delilah, who suddenly went off her legs. Eventually, she also developed respiratory problems and nothing helped. I also had to have her PTS. None of the other birds were affected. It was very strange, and upsetting
