karlotta
Well it's day 20 and and at two of them have pipped! Only got a quick peek when Mollie popped off for a drink/snack/poo. Fingers crossed for hatching later!
Guest
I love that you call her nearly pekin. I have never seen the mix she is. You should put pictures of her up when the chicks hatch
karlotta
Nothing much more to report chick-wise yet, considered having a peek under her wing, but she shot me a rather dirty look so I changed my mind! This is Molly! (just after I got her)

This is Molly! (just after I got her) I'm sure she's mostly pekin, but think there might be something else in there too!

karlotta
Well I have 4 gorgeous chickies! They are just hilaious with their little pom pom heads. I'll grab some pics later today as Mollie is now venturing out in the eglu run with them. Had a bit of a nightmare with the wooden arc (forsham) she hatched them in as despite judicuious poultry shielding and red-mite powder, we woke up to red mite on the two eggs that had yet to hatch! I speedily moved her and the chicks to my which had luckily just been vacated (and disinfected etc) by my 9 week growers. I'll be very reluctant to use another wooden house, except in an emergency. It shows Omlet houses are worth the money!
