Snowy
... ready for those Omlet get togethers. I needed something that I could pitch alone and found this one going, second hand. Pitched it in the garden last night and decided to sleep in it! Facebook Tent Album I'm a bit smitten by it - I'd forgotten what it was like to camp under canvas instead of polyester, and the high apex of this tent makes it lovely and airy, a bit like those bell tents we were admiring, especially when I took the bedroom pods out and used the whole tent. We had torrential rain in the night which woke me at 4am and I didn't get back to sleep after that (I always worry about a new tent leaking the first time i sleep in it) - but I thoroughly enjoyed it, and the boys had a great time Anyway, it's my new toy and I am stupidly excited about it so just want to share it with everyone
lillybettybabs
We used to have canvas tents in the Guides, They didn't have built in ground sheets and we put ours on a slope, We all woke up outside the tent as we had all slipped down during the night. Hertfordshire c1975 We used to have an old (ex-scouts) ridge tent, which we put up in the garden at home, and used to sleep in most of the summer hols. It's lovely Snowy
PurpleTree
Oh I like that - it's got purple on it! Can you take out the sleeping areas, to make one big one? Got a bit confused with the pics. Our Cabanon is canvas and I love it.

Lesley
That looks lovely! - and plenty of space.
Snowy
It's quite small if the sleeping pods are in, but taken out it makes a lovely large bedroom. And it has extra space in the awning! It's bigger than the Aldi tent I bought initially, but because of it's design, it's easier to put up. Just slot the central pole in and peg out, then put the two 'n' shaped awning poles in. The canvas is very heavy though! I need to make a seperate bag for the bedroom pods instead of them all being in together with the main canvas - otherwise I can't move it!
