Does anyone else like Doctor Who?

 

I thought that the new series was fabulous. The Judoon were

 

Martha, the new assistant, is great and i think she fancies the Doctor, just like me

I have a sneaky feeling they fall in love Mini. A first for the Doc I think Watch out for Dan. He's Doctor Who's number one fan. What he doesn't know about Doctor Who, isn't worth knowing

No I'm not a geek who 'guests' geeky forums at all

 

She falls for him but he just wants another assistant. Like C Tates character told him he should have. He loved Rose don't get me going again

I rewatched the end of the last series just before this one started and was in floods again watching 'the day Rose died'.

I think the first ep was a good start nothing too Dr Who evilish but a good reintroduction.

The next episode,where they meet Shakespeare,looks really,really good

 

I like Martha,she is nice & different from Rose

I like her too Sarah. I think she's a good contrast to Rose. She has to be. Rose was so great, there could never be two of her.

 

Martha is one of my favourite names.

I really enjoyed the first episode.

and there was a kiss in the first episode (even if it wasn't meant as a kiss)

I was disturbed that Martha followed the Dr down a dark alleyway and into something she thought was the size of a telephone box

We are going to a Dr Who party next weekend. My son George (9) is going as Captain Jack Not sure who to go as myself - maybe The Wire.

If I was Phillip Pullman then I would have sued Russell T Davis (RTD) for plagiarism - the 3D glasses were the amber spyglass, the fractures in time were the windows cut by the subtle knife and the two "lovers" being separated in different worlds but in the same place was just Lyra's Oxford and our Oxford with Will in the latter.

 

 

I came across this idea in a book years ago though I can't remember what it was so I don't think he would a leg to stand on. To be honest theres a rarely a new idea these days anyway they all seemed to be reworks.

The good news is that the movie of "His Dark Materials" will be released later this year and they have cast Daniel Craig as Lord Asriel - how cool is that?????

And I thought the same about the amber spyglass too - I am a really big fan of the His Dark Materials trilogy.

I am really excited about the movie & think the divine Mr Craig will be perfect as Lord Asriel.

Did you know that Nicole kidman is to be Mrs Coulter, & the girl who played Vesper Lynd in Casino Royale is playing Serafina Pekkala, the witch queen?

I was pleased that they tackled the race issue so well.They could have just ignored it,but Martha would have really stuck out in those times & they were wise to bring attention to that

 

I wonder whats going on with The Queen - she looked a tad miffed

We are completely mad about everything Doctor Who, and my six year old daughter is seriously obsessed! She has even built her own tardis from the box our washing machine was delivered in. She sent a picture of it in to Blue Peter and won a Blue Peter badge! She has been so excited about the return of doctor who and has been literally counting the days.

 

I can actually boast that I have been kissed by Doctor Who, as I met Tom Baker at a Doctor Who exhibition when I was seven!!!

I loved the last series of Doctor Who, not sure about this episode though, where's the Darlic's. I suppose I am missing Rose she was a fantastic character, thought last night's episode was a bit scary for younger kids who love Doctor Who...... but still an avid fan of the programme.

I really liked "the Shakespeare code" although it was a bit scarey

 

Mum offered to let me hide behind the sofa but then i would have missed the whole episode.

I thought this weeks episode was rather clever. They portrayal of Shakespeare's London was super.
