rachael_farnsworth
Artemis is going to be roast chicken if she doesn't shut the up. It is quarter to nine on a Saturday. They have food. They have water. They can free range if they so wish. Artemis has been shouting on and off since QUARTER TO SEVEN. I cannot just ignore her; we have neighbours. Any ideas? I hope to goodness this is not what she's like on a weekday morning. At least the wi-fi reaches out to garden... oh I am FED UP. It's been a long week and I really wanted a lie-in. No such luck. I am not feeling charitable towards the chickens right now. Edited September 11, 2010 by Guest

Sue
Chickens - like all animals are creatures of habit. What time do they normally get let out? If it is earlier than at the weekends then they will complain if they are penned in later than they expect. What about an automatic pop- hole if you think this might be causing the problem All the best Sue Dark Brown Eggs

helen1962
My now grown up chicks like the sound of their own voices but I must admit they are worse when they can see me. However one of my neighbours has two gorgeous but very noisy dogs and my hens can't compete with that so no worries! Mind you my hens are in a walk in run at the end of the garden so they don't disturb anyone, not even me! (unless I let them)
