patsylabrador
I accidentally bought a sack of growers pellets instead of layers pellets yesterday. I can't just waste them so are they ok for my bantams who are roughly 18 months old and should I supplement the pellets with anything? I have a sack of mixed corn and they always have fresh corn on the cob and greens.
chicken bark
I'm not certain but I think growers would contain more protein and less calcium, so they would be good if your hens were moulting. You could get a bag of layers and mix them in?
Plum
I wouldn't mix them because they will only decide which they like and chuck the others over the floor Won't you need them when you get some more chooks
Redwing
They will be fine, I feed my show birds growers pellets during the show season
Mollie333
I have all different aged chickens in one run, so i feed mine just growers, egg production has got slower, but as long as they are happy.

patsylabrador
Sorry, another question. Is it ok to eat the eggs? I read something about anti-cocci additives but there seems to be differing advice about the eggs.
bevmatt
HI you should not eat the eggs if it has anti - cocci medication in it - better to use a medication free growers such as Fancy Feed.
