Sarah71
Well their here settled in nicely, They are so funny, I'm hooked. They've already had some mealworms and some sweetcorn. I'll post some pics when I've worked out how to do it. My terrier who I thought would go mad at them doesn't really care but lab/spaniel is obsessed, had to put the net up to stop him going near them. They aren't bothered by him at all though Had a laugh already, put the sweetcorn in and one of the gingernuts couldn't work out how to get the corn out of the dish so waited for the other one to get a piece out, drop it and then nick it of her The Pepperpot seems the boss, very bold and nosey and the two gingernuts follow her lead. Not sure on names yet. I think the black pepperpot is going to be Bela (as in Bela Lagosi, I know it's a man but what the hell ) The two gingernuts maybe Honey and Mina or Pheobe. Not so happy about the gingernuts, I asked them to send me two different ones so I could tell them apart but they are both the same. I'm sure their personalities will come out and that will help. The poor girls look shattered, they keep nodding off in the run, not ventured into the eglu yet, hope they go in when it gets dark, have to the torch out. Well must go now and see what they are up to, Blucher has just pulled the fence down and he's now barking at them.... Sarahxxx
susanbb
They are wonderful aren't they. Really good pets and even my children are endeared by them, which in itself is an absolute miricle. My son now knows the difference between the girls (Ruby and Mrs Bridges) eggs and the bought ones and at least we know what they've eaten
helenp
Hi Sarah, Where about in Swadlincote do you live, as I live in Church Gresley...my eglu is arrving on the 9th May, and I am so excited. Can't believe there will be 2 proud eglu owners in the same town. Any advice would be great.
Egluntyne
Congratulations Sarah. Interesting names. Into horror stories are you? Wasn't Minna in Dracula?
Sarah71
They are fantastic, I'm in love. Helenp I live on Belmont Street, op McD's, you are very welcome to come and have a look if you want to, or ask any advise. By the way the putting the torch thing in the Eglu to get them in at night didin't work. I had to get them out of the run where they had snuggled up to go to sleep and plop them in the Eglu via the egg shoot Had a great day with them today, they really love mealworms and sweetcorn. Decided to call them Bela, Pheobe and Honey, yes Egluntine Mina is from Dracula but somehow she looked more like a Honey, but stuck with Bela for the Pepperpot. She is so cool, she's so nosey and brave, so she is now Bela The Brave
