Cinnamon
How about some specialist ski wear ones?
Angie
I am considering some , don't think the ski suit would cope with Poo.. Need to find a store that sells them.......
SJChick
I think Under Armour are supposed to be really good, keep you hot when your cold and cool when you hot etc. I have a top but I find it quite uncomfortable to wear on my skin but it does keep me warm. To be honest I would rather just layer, vest, polo neck, woolly jumper or fleece then 3 in 1 jacket. On my legs I would rather just wear quite thick tights below jeans with big thick socks and then waterproofs on top if required. Edit - should have said allow extra time for dressing, I always end up in the porch hopping around on one leg
kerryegg
What about fishing or shooting clothing suppliers? I would think they may be worth a look and are Damart still going? Hope you manage to keep warm.
The Dogmother
I have skiing thermals for the winter, and ski socks to wear inside my wellies. I recently bought another cold weather, dog walking coat from TKMaxx; it's a hiking coat (can't remember the make) and is grey. It's a man's small one as all the women's ones had pink on them somewhere
Cinnamon
I think Aldi had ski thermals on their best buys last week
Angie
Just had a hot bath, thawed out...the wind is ice today.Still raining and just not nice outside. Damarts look nice about 18pds for a vest and not much more for longs and they are lacey too, up to extreme warmth 5 rating will have to order a set for WIR cleaning and sorting day ready for the winter. I could just wrap my new wool quilt around me Toga style and waltz down the garden all snug in that ....Told you i had tawed out....coffee time. abwsco
I got some Campri thermals from sports direct for when we were going to Krakow. They're not pretty but do the job and are around £8. Not thick and bulky but very warm. Would go instore though as their online service isn't good from reviews.
The Dogmother
M&S ones are pretty good, as are Te$co. I have some really good micro-fleece polo necked tops that are excellent for layering. Dog walking in the winter can get very cold!

Angie
Had a drive out to glasshaughton to the Xscape ski wear shop, they have some silk thermals very light weight. Very expensive, went over the road to outdoor warehouse and bought a set of thiers,in purple....these are just for WIR cleaning and doing the needful in the trays, got a pull on fleece too. With the socks from M&s ,when i got home and went poo picking ...with new kit on...much warmer, and my thermometer on the garden shed says 4 deg C. It is still raining and windy but i was warm, and i spent 30 pds. My chucks are worth the expense.......Now where to get some winter crocks

Olly
Patra do silk thermals - not cheap, but I have a set that I've had for absolutely years, they are really thin and very warm. For winter gardening/chook keeping I have some thick-lined walking trousers, Craghopper I think but they were bought in a sale, and they are lovely and cosy.
