Patricia W
For those of you dithering about ex-bats and hardiness, my 5 ex-bats are the most active of all my lot in the snow. They are dancing around, pecking at it, and seeming to actually enjoy it! The two I've had since last April are fully feathered but the ones who joined us at the end of September still have a few bare patches. But they are all laying and very happy girls. My pure breeds are very disdainful of the stuff and only go out when they ABSOLUTELY have to! So, if anyone has space, don't make the cold put you off Tricia
