Snowy
When the boys got in from school they went to get a drink of water and informed me that there was no water coming out of the taps! Quick check revealed neighbours in the same boat. Seems there has been a fault in the pipe down the road and our whole village has no water!! Sent OH out quick to get some bottled from the Co-op - luckily they had some left but were selling out quickly. Next update is supposed to be due in 5 minutes. And I have a small child with the squits. Talk about perfect timing!
Patricia W
ooh no! Hope it's fixed quickly. Our road is about to be dug up for new gas mains and we've been warned they'll have to turn the heating off in some cases. Wonderful time to choose.. Looney
Oh no! That's rubbish, hope littl'un with the squits gets better soon. There was a long water cut in Ely the other week. Supermarket was sold out of water by the time I got home from work. Luckily we weren't affected for long. My friend had all day with small child and no water to deal with. Thank goodness for our water butt, at least we can fill up the loos if need be.
The Dogmother
oh no! What dreadful timing. Send hugs to the smallest boy, hope that his tummy dries up soon.
Snowy
Never thought of the water butt! Although not much use now as it's frozen!! Anyway, we have a trickle now - just enough to keep the loos clear and quick washes, not enough for a shower or to run the dishwasher etc. It's certainly made me realise how much I take it for granted!
