Alis girls
I have washed ES's rugby shirt which is navy with a white collar in a dark wash and the collar has come out dark - anyone used any of the things on the market to get collars white again. Also had to wash his school coat as a seagull pooped on it. He was not impressed -s'pose to be lucky
bluekarin
I have used the colour run remover, but on a plain white wash. Turned a whole load of mens shirts from pink back to white. Not sure how it would be with a mixed colour item though. My son has a two tone rugby shirt, and that washed fine for me in a coloured 40 degree wash. Is this the first time you've washed it? majorbloodnock
Rugby shirt? Wash? How'sat work? I come from an intensively rugby-focussed family, and everyone any of us played with would wash their kit religiously once a season. My father in particular was very skilled at getting into a launderette just before the timer locked the door so that he could leave when no-one else was around to notice the sludge left at the bottom of the machine he used. I don't see how any rugger player could be remotely concerned about colours fading into each other; many are perfectly content simply with having both sleeves, even if they were originally from different jerseys. Or is the latest generation rather more pernickety? Pah! Youth of today...

WitchHazel
If the shirt is in a bad state then you probably ave nothing to lose by trying a colour run remover or glo white. It can't really make it worse (maybe make it different!). Just read the packs carefully to pick one most designed for the job. Interested to hear how you get on... The Dogmother
I suspect that he's probably less worried about it than you are I used to date a rugby player and can echo what the Major has said; if it's in one piece, they're usually grateful, in fact battle scars are worn with pride. Yep, I used to play and have stories for every shirt tear and scar. Colour merging is standard and they needed a hot wash to clean them. Angie
Put a Colour catcher in the next wash and it will lift some of the offending colour run......unless you have tried to wash it out already. Next time put a colour catcher in with the wash.....i put them in all my mixed washes they do work.... Lakeland do some Fab ones that last quite a few washes.
