iar fach goch
Hello to you all and a happy new year. Have not been on the forum for ages, have returned to work in September after 6 glorious years at home, now that YS has started school full time, apparently I had no excuse to stay at home! Job is going well, but life has been very hectic trying to fit everything in (even though it's only part time). Taken a while to get used to the new routines, still got the girls (now down to three), and have adopted an unloved bunny. Hope to be able to pop in here more often now that I'm finally getting organised. Bye for now!

sage
Hi iar fach goch Can I be cheeky and ask you a question. Looking at spending a week in North Wales July time but have not got a clue where to stay. We like beach and country walks but not too bothered about hills as we have a 2 year old and buggy. Need somewhere close to a pub & shop so was thinking about a small village. Any recommendations please. Cheers Sage

iar fach goch
Hi Sage, myself and OH have been trying to come up with suitable holiday locations. Somewhere along the Lleyn Peninsula is a good idea, lots of lovely beaches and gets the best weather around here. Abersoch is popular but gets really busy, so you're better off staying in one of the smaller villages and popping in for some shopping. Sadly, there aren't that many villages left with a shop and a pub, OH recommends Tudweiliog, Borth Y Gest, Aberdaron or Llanbedrog. They all have some village amenities and are close to the beach. You're also close enough to go to Caernarfon to see the castle and take a ride on the steam train. Don't know what kind of accommodation you're looking for but there are plenty of holiday cottages to rent in these areas. A useful website I've found is http://www.nefynholidays.co.uk. Hope this helps.
sage
Hi Thanks for the ideas. Just booked a week 2 miles from Eglwysbach 7 miles from Conway. Looks great, near to beaches and Chester Zoo but within easy reach of everything else but still quiet. Just need to plan days out that are buggy friendly. many thanks Sage
