Divorce petition - so much information !

Recommended Posts

My divorce petition goes out at the end of this month. The financial statement that goes with it needs so much information :( The only consolation is that it will cause him more trouble and shock than me I suppose :| My ex has lied and tried to manipulate me so much but I have remained polite (guided by my solicitor) but now the gloves are off. Be glad when it is all over - I shall have a party to celebrate

I remember when I did mine, I had to put loads of stuff in, and was constantly reminded to put on the form out goings such as toiletries, cosmetics, clothes, all the things that you buy without thinking, car maintaince, petrol, plus all the big stuff like your utility bills.

It's very stressful, but don't sell yourself short now as it's hard to go back later......

Good luck!

My ex husband's financial statement was laughable, he put down he spent £100 on eating out and socialising (we never went anywhere), £150 a month on food (he only ever bought 20p yellow label food from Asda and if they didn't have it, he didn't eat!), £100 for presents (I certainly never got any), £100 for holidays (didn't have one in 17 years, unless you count 3 days in a roof tent in Scotland), £150 for clothes/toiletries etc.(the man was dressed solely by George at Asda sale rail) and £500 a month on car maintenance (he serviced all of our cars himself).....reading his statement provided me with one of the few laughs last year....!!

Anyway, more hugs coming your way, I got so much support from people on here last year, it really pulled me through so if you need to blast you know where we all are!

It amazes me what they think they can get away with :liar: My ex recently put my half of some savings in a 'special needs' account. Summed himself up perfectly
