scarlettohara
My nearish neigbours have just asked me if I would like their 2 tier rabbit hutch for a broody coop - needs a bit of work but it will be perfect
chestnutmare
Oo nice. What else have they got for you? ...Perhaps your neighbours are after some eggs?
Janty
That was good of them. It makes life so much easier when your neighbours are nice.
scarlettohara
They have just rehomed their 9 chooks (I looked after them while they were on holiday) so I offered eggs

Redwing
Excellent I have one and they are so useful as isolation or broody bays I had bunk bed broodies in mine last year
chicken bark
When you have a hen in a broody coop or rabbit hutch - presumably you have a ladder so they can get down from the hutch and feed/poo etc? How does this work once the chicks have hatched? Do you need to lift the hen out a few times a day and remove the ladder so the chicks don't fall out? I have a feeling this is a very silly question but I'm sure you won't mind.
scarlettohara
I will use mine to stop them being broody and yes this one has a ladder into the run
Lewis
I had Nugget in a 2 tier hutch last year when she hatched Orville the duckling. They were fine in it
