Bramble
Happened to notice that Omlet had a second hand one on "marketplace", says it's a bit battered and well used but there's just no way I can justify full price for a cube and I have been wanting one for ages. Anyway, said cube threw itself into my basket . It doesn't have a run, but that gives me the chance, maybe, to build it onto a walk in run or maybe buy a cube run later. Please tell me I've done the right thing ...

chuckmum6
Might depend on how much it cost .... But .....yes!!!!
chestnutmare
You've done the wrong thing. You should have bought two. Exciting!
karlotta
It's awfully tempting to get one for the bants... wonder if they could manage getting into one.
Graham0602
Whoops, I just accidentally bought one for 200 quid too Need to accidentally buy a run to go with it and then our flock can accidentally grow from 3 to 6 Unless I accidentally buy a 1m run extension and then it can accidentally grow from 3 to 10 Did some man sums and cost-justified it. Got a 6 month old Classic with 3m run which we should be able to flog for between £250 and £300-ish on Ebay or on here. Total £444 for the Cube and brand new run including delivery of both, so only gonna cost me about £150 to upgrade plus I can have two coops for a short period to introduce the new girls .......... Win, win, win .......... G

Bramble
Having slept on it, I'm v excited! Haven't told the girls yet as I think it will be a while before I get a run for it as I think I'm going to get an area paved to avoid the mud, mud, mud the eglu is currently sitting in. The question is ... Cube run or small(ish) WIR
Daphne
I keep my cube on one course of bricks - this means my old oblong wooden/weldmesh run buts up to it nicely; in fact its a perfect fit. I don't use the wheels or the ramp; they just hop out into the run in the morning Even if I had to buy a new run it would be a lot cheaper than a WIR or cube run - but of course as its like having a large square eglu it only works if you don't mind bending down! Wolfie
Well done Bramble! What colour Cube? or or or or or ??? I'd say the money you "saved" on a second hand Cube justifies you building a (small) Walk In Run. Defo. Remember to site it with a view to extending it in future .... Forward planning or just plain devious?
Bramble
It's a , just what I wanted Only trouble is it's being delivered on Tuesday when I'd planned to work at home, but can't do that now so hoping the delivery person will just leave it Best laid plans ...
