Kindle e-books

Recommended Posts

I splashed out on a kindle for my trip so I could reduce the number of books I needed to carry.

I'm quite impressed so far - great battery life - clear and bright reading (even on a very sunny beach) - fast downloads (very impressed that it took just a few minutes to download a book with the 3G service on a Caribbean beach).

My only complaint is that one of my downloads seems a bit weird - missing some spaces on a few sentences and the font is HUGE.

Anyone else seen these issues?

Hi, yes I had one of those! I just adjusted the font as required on mine, it seemed to vary every few pages :? i didn't do anything about it, but I did receive a replacement download for another book that they said had had problems (although I hadn't noticed them). There must be a way of reporting these things, I just haven't tried it yet (I'd forgotten about my problem book until I read this! ) Worth complaining about though!

I love my Kindle and have been using it for about a year. One way to increase the already long battery life is to turn off your wireless internet when you aren't using it. As far as any books downloading weird, you can have Amazon reload it, or you can just delete it and resend which usually fixes the problem. I've downloaded about 100 books and only had this happen twice so it's a rarity for sure.
