lougarbard
Hi, I am hoping you will all be kind and up load some pictures of your walk in runs! I have been very happy with my set up until now, but it is time for some improvements, but so I can show OH the sort of thing I want I will be needing to show him some pictures! I have a wooden house which I will be keeping, but I want to make the run bit better! More enclosed and with a roof and some more weather proofing. And I might even try and persuade him to extend it just a bit more than the 17feet it already is! I wont be pinching any of your runs exactly, just getting a few ideas! THANK YOU! lougarbard
Thanks. I have now found several threads. I have never looked on this bit before, I only ever seem to go on 'chickens' or 'Eggs'. I presumed this section was to do with the Omlet products. I will get busy nosing!! Henergy
Hi Lougarbard Have you made any decisions yet ? Just noticed that you are in Cornwall, so wondered where. I'm in Plymouth.
lougarbard
Hi Henergy, and thanks to all others for pics! I am in Camborne, so about 60 miles from Plymouth. Me and a friend came all the way to Tavistock a couple of weeks ago to buy some new hens!! I think I am going to buy ready made avairy panels from E bay, and then the basic idea will be similar to Redwings top picture. My chicken run is about 16 x 7 now, I am only going to extend the size by a few more feet, but my main aim is to have a roof!! to reduce the mudiness, even though I add new gravel from time to time, it eventually gets all trodden in!! I am lucky to have a six foot wall on one side and one end, and will be able to re use some of the existing parts from our run now. Hope fully this will be next months project (fingers crossed!)
