Whilst mooching round on the free ads sites tonight i found an ad for four hens at two for ten pounds. One of them is a cream legbar, a silkie and a frizzle silkie. the other is either a Rhode island red or a columbian blacktail, couldn't tell from the pics. I'm off to see them after work tomorrow as they are fairly local to me. Will let you know how I get on.

ps. OH even said I could go and look at them which makes a change from having to smuggle them in.

Well I am taking the cat box to work with me tomorrow. I am hoping my friend will take the two silkies.

I came home with all four. Along with the cream legbar I got a Rhode Island Red [who laid her first egg today] a buff Frizzle [with attitude] and a partridge bantam silkie. The silkie has gone to live with a friend as she was tiny and my friend has smaller hens.

Will try and get some tomorrow if they stay still long enough, especially the frizzle, she s a bit of a character, she met my other girls today and for such a small girl she wasn't taking any prisoners.
