Chicken shack Posted February 24, 2011 Share Posted February 24, 2011 (edited) After 4 weeks of introductions and 5 weeks to the day since I bought Nugget and drumstick home they both laid their first egg today. Not sure who laid which egg yet, one was a most beautiful blue and the other was similar to Jasmin's a blue green. I know it wasn't Jasmin's as she also laid. So today 5 girls and 4 eggs. Way to go. The blue one is a much nicer colour than the image shows. I have had 2 blue soft shells since but am sure things will settle down. This image shows how different the eggs are from each of my 5 girls. No you are absolutely NOT too old to be this excited (well, if you are, then so am I, not that I know how old you are) My girls have been laying since I had them in July and I can honestly say, I still get the same buzz out of collecting eggs now as I did with that very first one.
