scarlettohara
As she is a bit miserable and fluffed up, as she has laid a couple of softies this week so was worried about peritonitis. He said her abdomen is fine and she has no respiratory symptoms, I thought her crop was a bit full this am but he wasn't concerned. He has chickens (you can see them in the garden) and he said if he suspects peritonitis with his he gives them a long-lasting penicillen injection which won't do any harm if she perks up tomorrow. So that is what she had

scarlettohara
She's quieter and still a bit fluffy but she joined in and even pecked my Mum's puppy - always a good sign
chicken bark
I think we all feel worse and the end of the day. She sounds a spirited sort so I hope another good night's sleep sets her right.
scarlettohara
Whatever she needs she will get - I'll give her some nutridrops tomorrow, I think with ex-batts you have to be a bit 'whatever will be will be' sort of thing - does that make sense
