does anyone sell their books on green metropolis?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

do any of you sell your books on Green Metropolis? I have just registered as We have a lot of books gathering dust and wondered if anyone uses this website? you get £3.00 /book but have to pay the postage, trouble is may end up buying more books than selling!

I have fished out some games etc for music magpie but after reading some of the reviews on google may change my mind! it looks as if its a 50/50 chance of getting your cheque

I used to list mine on there, but I hardly ever seemed to sell anything - not sure why, they were mostly used popular paperbacks and I usually discounted them as I am paranoid about 'overselling' something; my sister seemed to sell a lot but none of mine ever went.

It is a very easy site to use though, and if you do sell them then it works well.

Hi,

I do use greenmetropolis to sell books, but they do take a while to sell. I also list on another website read it swap it. the only down side with this website is you swap your books rather than sell them. You also have to pay postage. You never end up getting rid of your collection as you only swap them!!!!

I have listed books for sale on Green Metropolis in the past.... however, after they had lurked there, unsold, for 18 months I got feb up and took them down to the charity shop instead.

I have bought quite a few books on GM though.

The main difficulty I can see is that there seem to be a lot of professional sellers (i.e. 2nd hand book shops) listing on GM, which makes it so much harder for anyone else to sell their books as there are usually large numbers of each book available.

I have bought and sold books on GM, but agree that many books stay in a box in the wardrobe for a very long time until they get sold

Although I did once sell a book on there.... To my sister  she didn't realise the book was mine, and then I got the postage details  Just goes to show we have the same choice in books
