Purplemaniacs
I have a Dyson that I love, it copes well with two labradors A few weeks ago I got a letter saying about doing an additional years guarantee, well I decided not to take up the offer and ....... today I have hoovered and now the machine will not switch off, the switch is all wobbly What timing! Ain't Nobody Here
Isn't that just typical . However, all is not lost. I got a phone call from Dyson offering me a service which I accepted. He replaced a few bits and I basically now have a new hoover . It probably wouldn't cost much more than a year's extra warranty, depending on which bits needed replacing. Did you see this recent thread about Dysons?
Ygerna
How long have you had it. I believe that EU law means that despite manufacturers stating 1 year warranty, you are actually entitled to two. Not much help further as I can't remember the actual legislation but, perhaps google could be your friend
Purplemaniacs
Much longer than that, 5 years It has done great service, I will look at getting it serviced. Chrissie
CatieB
Are you sure the 5 year warranty is up as they normally write to you quite some time before. If it is, I understand the service is excellent and well worth paying for. My sister has paid for it a few times over the years and been thoroughly impressed.
