Space Chick
My inccy is on with 20 eggs (Wyandotte bantams, pekins, red silkies and legbar x leghorns), my first hatching Whilst picking up the red silkie eggs, the breeder had 2 gold silkie chicks.... We'll it would have been rude to not have brought them home So, my brooder has been set up earlier than anticipated. The chicks are 4 weeks old, so will be 7 weeks when the eggs hatch, so will be big enough to go outside by then Pics of the silkie chicks :
Tweety
I know just how you feel Space Chick! I am on my first hatching too, with 24 pure breed Frizzle bantam eggs in my incy, now on Day 7. I am so excited, but worried too, in fact just how I felt in the run up to my first girls arriving with their cube. Those little chicks are gorgeous and, you are right, it would have been very rude - not to mention absolute madness - not to bring them home with you! Good luck with your hatching. Lewis
I'd normally say cute but... Silkie chicks have the ugly-cute factor like TNNs when they first hatch!!
