Minnie&Moose
Not a great morning - had to take Moose, the last of our original Omlet girls, to be PTS today . For 3 years she's ruled the garden as our top hen, keeping the chickens, cats and squirrels in their place. It's going to seem very strange without her. Olly
Oh dear, sorry to hear that - I take it she and her sister were the inspiration for your username, they will live on in that at any rate.

Minnie&Moose
Oh dear, sorry to hear that - I take it she and her sister were the inspiration for your username, they will live on in that at any rate. Well spotted Olly - Minnie and Moose were our first, hence the username. I had thought to change it but I like the idea of their memory lingering because it was them that introduced us to the delights of chicken keeping, and we all agree the garden just wouldn't be the same without them - no poo, no holes in the lawn, no mud, no poultry netting to trip over, and lots of flowers - now, why would anyone want a garden like that
Olly
Gardens without chickens are sterile and dull, in my opinion! You never forget your first chickens. (Nor any of the subsequent ones!)

Too true Olly. I lost the second of my first two Omlet girls last summer. Again she was top chook all her life, even right up to the end. R.I.P Moose. But you will will never be forgotten, I'm sure.
