I just wanted to share my excitement that yesterday one of my clever girls laid their first egg!

 

I couldnt believe it, a perfect,if slightly on the small side, freckly little egg just sitting there in the nest box (whoever it was even did it in the right place) I'm so proud of them! I literally couldnt have been more excited if I had laid the egg myself. They both looked very pleased and gots loads of treats to say well done.

 

I've only had them two weeks and I've been in such a bubble of new love that I forgot they even laid eggs! I'm far too proud to eat it- I want to put it on display- am I dead sad?

aww congrats! I remember my first egg - husband thought I was being mauled by a pack of coyotes then he realized it was screams of happiness
