Thanks to you ANH, I am several hundred pounds a year better off! I followed up your post about getting a pension forecast, and also discovered I may be in the group that could buy prior years if my national insurance record wasn't complete.

 

After a 2 month wait, I've now been told that I am eligible to buy back 4 years which will boost my State Pension by several hundred pounds a year- about a cube's worth actually!
