rabbitfluff
I'm getting grey/brown circular patches on the leaves of some of the plants in my greenhouse. It's visible on both sides of the leaf and is affecting tomatoes, peppers and aubergines at the moment. I've binned 2 tomato plants and have been removing the leaves if they become infected but I suspect it will be a losing battle. Any ideas what it is and what I can do? I'm now keeping the vent and roof wondow open all the time to try to increase ventilation. Should I bite the bullet and use a fungicide of some sort? I'd be gutted to lose everything after all the hard work. Thanks.
bluekarin
Oh dear! I lost all my tom plants a few years ago due to blight, but it was a bad year all over the country for it. I have found this http://www.ehow.com/how_8229593_treat-gray-leaf-spot-tomatoes.html which may be of some help to you, as it says about peppers and aubergine as well as toms being affected. Good luck! It is gutting when something like this takes hold of your much nurtured plants
sjp
it sounds like blight. you need more ventilation in the greenhouse as it's to humid in there my greenhouse door is now left open at all times, full in the day and about 4inches at night cut off any leaves that show sign as soon as possible and bin them don't compost any blighted plant material from spuds or tomatoes as a domestic compost heap/bin doesn't get hot enough to kill blight spores
rabbitfluff
The dreaded "b" word! Everything was doing so well as well! So annoying. It's my first year with a proper greenhouse so an important lesson learnt then - keep it well ventilated! I've got some fungicide so maybe I can keep it at bay for a while. Or maybe that's wishful thinking! Thanks for the replies.
