chuckmum6
I would value your ideas on the sex of these chicks please. 4wk old pekin/wyandotte I think she is a girl and quite pretty! 9wk old Wyandotte. This the one I thought was a boy when little then a girl, now I am back to boy! Two pictures of the same chick! I am hoping its a girl, but can't commit. This is my boy 9wk old pekin/wyandotte, no doubts here! He has been making some screechy 'crowing' sound and is quite feisty. 9wk old Wyandotte. My girl She does look very similar to number 2 but with smaller wattles. Two pics of her

Redwing
i'd say that the first one is the only definite girl 2 and 3 are almost certainly boys and number four ciould be either
chuckmum6
I am confident that no 4 is a girl, but do think 2 is a boy, I had my doubts about him from the first sign of wattles!
kaza46
I am having the same problem sexing my chicks. I think 1 is a boy and the other a girl but how do i tell? what are the signs? Can you sex them any other way? New to this so look forward to advice
Guest
id say first one boy (red wattles and comb girls are pinkish) 2nd boy & 3rd boy 4th im certian its a pullet but could be wrong i would leg ring the 4th one and keep a eye on it as it looks very girlish
Griffin
I'm not sure about number four. With other boys in the flock, some are not going to be as well developed as others, which is why if it is a boy it hasn't got as much head gear as the other two. I expect once those two boys are out of the way he or she will show their true colours
Guest
i would say keep an eye on the 1st one that one looks like its hiding its gender iv had it so many times where i think ones a pullet/hen then as soon as i take my cockerel out it starts to man up i still say what i said before 1st(could be a cockerel masking as a pullet) 2nd cockerel 3rd cockerel 4th id say pullet
chuckmum6
The first one is just in with her mum, so no competion. I am pretty sure I have two girls, but I'll let you know if they ever start to crow!
