I have finally got my new (to me!) Cube! I had a Classic in blue for about 5 years and have happily kept 2-3 chooks in there. The chooks were all very happy in the 3 homes that I lived in (it was a stressful time...) The last place I lived, they free roamed the yard (not that it was big!) and had a run on one side for when we were out - it wasn’t the Omlet run (you know where this story's going!). I lived there without any foxes coming into the garden for about a year and then one morning, woke up and they'd all had their heads removed! I decided not to keep anymore till I'd moved.

Roll on 9 months (a proper pregnancy ;-)) and I've moved... I wasn't going to keep hens as we're in another high density fox area, but I've missed keeping them sooo much! I bit the bullet and within one week of deciding, I sold my Classic and bought a second hand purple cube off eBay and an extra 1mtr run! So I have no worries about keeping the Chooks in the run 'the whole time'.

Got three ladies on Saturday...it’s great to be back in the crazy world of chicken keeping...

Well, here you go! A pretty dull morning I'm afraid...

The view behind is of the railway lines - not a badly overgrown garden!

You can almost see the chooks bright pink dust under the Cube bath in this one

Here we are from the front - purple Cube, blue fun shade, original blue peanut (holding food) and bright pink dust bath...

If you have any trouble convincing other half of the colour, use the tactics I did with the ex-husband and the Blue Classic (he wanted green.. ). 'If I decide against keeping them, the resale value of the (insert colour here) will be so much more...' Like I'd get rid of them

Great photos :D

Thats a really good idea, green cubes are soo common that the resale value is a lot less than the purple cubes, because purple is a rarer colour.....!

He might buy it?
