beach chick
Ruby and Arthur (of 3-legged fame) spend their days in their outdoor run - 2m long, 1m wide, 1m high. it gets moved onto fresh grass every 2-3 days, they have toys etc. at night they go into their hutch which is on concrete slabs. BUT we have mesh on the bottom of the outdoor run for fox-resistance, and I'm just wondering about giving them something to dig in. natural instinct and all that, the mesh must be stopping them expressing some normal behaviour. I was thinking about giving them a box of of earth to dig in - but then I suppose that would get frustrating when they hit the bottom?! and of course they'd chuck it everywhere, but then that prob wouldnt matter as it would just go on the grass... or would they just poo in it? what does everyone else do? lillybettybabs
I have one of those covered cat litter boxes for my two monster, It's very deep and with it being covered (with a flap door) they can't flick the digging material out. You might have to take the door off for a few weeks s they get the hang of it first.

LuckyChickenLover-
I'd go for LBB's idea if I were you, but I give my girls carpet squares (you can get them for free at carpet shops) to dig on. They're free and they last ages EDIT: Just to add, make sure you get one that has really short threads (if that made sense ). Otherwise your bunnies might get their feet tangled in it.
