ballgunner
hi, earlier we noticed that Bunty collapsed ,and Dandy was pecking her so we put her in the pet carrier and when i got home from school i checked on her and she was breathing heavily ,so i sat her on my lap and she died. :cry:i think she had a broken egg so we have burried her. I am wondering if to replace her.

Jules.
Sorry to read about your chook I am no expert on chickens, but I do know they are sociable creatures & get lonely on their own.
Karen & co.
Sorry to hear about Bunty As Jules H said they are social creatures, introducing another 2 may be easier than 1 karen x

RubyReckless
Aww 0 sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is rought. When we got foexed, we were out 2 days later buying new girls and the excitment of that certainly helped. Brace yourself for the usual "pecking order" brawling if you do introduce a new bird or two to your remaing chook.
ballgunner
thanks for the replies we will try and find a breeder near us
ballgunner
the only problem may be that the other omlet chooks have a different pecking order and house so we will swap the omlet's with poppy and new friends when we collect them
