There have been major upheavals in the Sadietoo Chicken household. ..Mabel and Lucie (the Brahmas) turned out not to be a match for the Orpie (Attwell) after all and so Attwell is now living with Pansy, (hence unfortunately the purple bottom spray...but all that is already behind us (no pun intended) (told you Pansy was a lovely girl) since the first feather pulling incident which drew blood there have been no more, just the odd chase and bit of a peck, but there was a change in the air tonight, when Pansy went up to bed first tonight, then came back down again to chivvy the little'un up, and there was no pecking at all from her.... TBH I'm not sure I was really paying attention when the breeder was talking to me about them...I was far too distracted by having to choose between so many lovely chickens ...but if I remember correctly she said the Orpie is about 16 weeks old and the Baby Brahmas are about 12 weeks old.... The orpie is getting a bit more adventurous now, but won't be handled or eat out of my hand yet, that will come, but patience will required and none of us are very good at that we all want to cuddle her now...the babies just climb all over you, eat your buttons, and are generally up to no good at all times..
