quickcluck
Picked her up yesterday, she's a Bantam and has black legs and 5 toes on each foot! She has a little crest on her hand, a very sleak body and a very pointy tail!!! So far the guesses are.... Silk x leghorn, sultan or aracana..... Any advances?? sootydog111
the 5 toes are an important breed characteristic try googling breeds of hens with 5 toes the only one i can think of with 5 toes is the dorking but that dosent look enything like a dorking

Egluntyne
She is very dainty. Could she have a bit of White Star somewhere in her lineage?

quickcluck
A cross of some sort. But there is the 5 toe thing going on and I know there are not many breeds with that!
Redwing
Definitely looks like a Silkie cross Whatever she was crossed with has a single comb so not Araucana which would be one of my first guesses possibly Sussex or Leghorn ? Or as she is a cross whoever bred her is probably not too careful about breeding stock separation so possibly one parent is a cross breed or even a hybrid She is lovely
Plum
Yup still gorgeous
quickcluck
Well it'll be interesting. I think she has white ears, so maybe a white egg! They thought she was a bantam, but i'm not sure about that either!
Redwing
good point about the white earlobes The fact that the comb is quite small possibly rules out Leghorn I think Egluntyne may be correct with her White Star comment
Mum
Before I opened the post, the moment I saw the word "Seagull", I thought Light Sussex!! When I saw the first pictures and the head, my gut instinct was that is has cream legbar in there somewhere - although looking at those first pix I was also thinking Araucana. As a cream legbar was developed from an Araucana mix, that isn't really surprising. Looking at the more mature photo's, I'm convinced that you have a part Araucana there (although the comb still makes me think Cream Legbar too). Don't be thrown by the 5 toes; although there are breeds which naturally have 5 toes, it is not unheard of for a bird to grow extra toes (think, Ann Bowlyn ) Be interesting to see what colour eggs you get Whatever her lineage, she is lovely and you should enjoy her to the full
surfer_chicken
I love her hairdo Good luck identifying her- she looks like a right mixture!
