I must say, I really like him, I know there are moments of childishness, but generally I find him likeable, knowledgeable and a great presenter (on Celebrity Apprentice a few years ago, he was fantastic - as was Alastair Campbell, by the way).

However, I did find his first ITV show very disappointing - apart from Adele, the guests were hardly scintillating and the format a poor relation of the BBC version. Do hope it improves - what did other people think ?

A bit flat but promising. I'd never heard Lewis Hamilton speak before, he seemed like a nice chap though. Adele sounded a bit rough but then I've read she's pulled out of two gigs with a cold & chest infection so I'm not surprised.

Like you I though the show was a tad flat (& WHERE were 4 Poofs & a Piano???),but reckon it will pick up.

 

I think he is a huge talent,a super presenter,& from what I know of him,a lovely man

Oh I missed it. I really miss him on tv and on the radio show on R2 on a saturday morning. I shall keep a look out for him. I loved his way of interviewing, yes he sailed very close to the wind sometimes but he was always entertaining.

After the Andrew Sachs episode I would rather sit and stare at a blank screen than watch either Jonathon Ross or Russell Brand It wasn't funny and it wasn't clever just sad and sick and deeply upsetting for the family I can't believe that he is still paid such vast sums of money and is even still allowed to broadcast

His show with Russell Brand was pre-recorded, and someone on the production team (well, all of the production team) seem to have escaped any backlash from putting that part of the show out. Funny, that.

I know it was probably an ill advised piece to broadcast,but WAY too much was made over that incident

 

On a happier note,The Chilli Peppers are playing on next weeks show

I like him too and always found the BBC show funny. The Friday ITV one was definitely flat and I hated the backdrop, all those lights were just distracting and made watching quite hard. I fell asleep before he'd even finished interviewing Adele.

 

Lets hope it gets better.

Well, number 2 was a bit better I thought (except the Saturdays, words fail me - and them it seems).

Glad the awful group who were there during the first episode didn't appear again.

Benedict Cumberbatch and the Chilli Peppers were great.

Wossy still seems a bit stilted - shame he lost the long hair and beard he had been growing - he looked a lot more comfortable and individual like that recently now he's a bit older.
